When we dug out our Testors paints a few weeks ago in order to paint some new miniatures, they were pretty much all separated or dried up. Not surprisingly, since we haven't used them in more than ten years. However, trying to mix 'em up by hand-shaking them got me to thinking: making a little gadget like a hardware store paint-can shaker using my LEGO Mindstorms kit.
So, once I get my Windows VM running again, and get a USB-to-serial adapter, and find the Mindstorms CD (which means exporting my CD library to a spreadsheet, which means firing up my poor old polluted Windows desktop), I can see about writing the programme to do it.
In the meantime I can play with prototyping the gadget sans motive power.
